Why We Exist

Nurturing Young Men in Christ, Transforming Lives for His Glory.

A Beacon of Hope for Young Men

Nurturing Lives, Creating Futures

At The Brotherhood Academy, we are a faith-based General Residential Operation (GRO) dedicated to nurturing and empowering young men. Our mission is to provide a safe and loving home where they can grow, learn, and thrive. With unwavering commitment, we strive to transform their lives, instilling in them the values and skills needed to become strong leaders, loving husbands, and devoted fathers.

Who We Are Serving

These young men, ages 10 to 17, are not just statistics — they are our neighbors, our students, and an important part of our community. Many attend local schools alongside their peers, yet behind their determined faces are stories of hardship, instability, and adversity. Some arrive without a consistent place to call home or the steady support of a parent or guardian. Brotherhood Academy exists for them — to be a lifeline, a family, and a foundation when they need it most.

But our commitment does not end at age 18. Through our transitional living program, we continue supporting young men up to age 24 as they take steps into adulthood. Graduates who need additional guidance move into a second on-site home where they learn independent living skills, pursue education or training, maintain employment, and build confidence for life. This program fills a critical gap — ensuring that youth aging out of the foster system are not left homeless or unsupported, but instead are equipped to become strong, capable, Christ-centered young adults.

Empowering Through Education

We firmly believe in the power of education as a transformative force. The young men we serve are bright, capable, and full of God-given potential — yet many have faced circumstances that disrupted their academic journey. At Brotherhood Academy, we provide the stability, support, and Christ-centered encouragement they need to refocus, grow, and pursue excellence in their schooling.

During the admissions process, each young man’s educational path is carefully reviewed to determine the best fit for his needs. Students may attend Salado ISD or enroll in the UT Charter School online program, ensuring individualized support and academic continuity. Whichever option is chosen, our goal remains the same: to help each young man thrive, discover his strengths, build confidence, and prepare for a brighter future grounded in faith, purpose, and leadership.
